For several years we went to a bluegrass festival run by the
Kings River Bluegrass Association (which no longer exists).
It is a wonderful and relaxing weekend with friendly people and fun music.

In October, 2007 Tom And Judy went the to the
National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee
(the home of the
International Storytelling Center.)
It was great fun, heard wonderful stories, and meet great people.
Tom also visited several places he lived as a kid in Tenn, including
the house he lived in over 50 years ago. (But that is another story.)

Lane Victory Ship Cruise
The USS Lane Victory is a National Historic Landmark and a fully operational ship.
It is one of the few remaining WW II Cargo Vessels that carried the materials
of war to our Armed Forces in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Launched in 1945 at Cal Shipyard of Los Angeles, she makes her home in San
Pedro and Los Angeles Harbor.
